Whisper of the Woodland – Original Fawn Mixed-Media Painting

Deep within the quiet woodland, where flowers bloom beneath the trees, a little fawn pauses to listen...

Whisper of the Woodland is an original mixed-media painting inspired by the quiet beauty and gentle magic of the natural world.

A sweet young fawn stands amongst delicate woodland flowers, gazing out with a gentle, curious expression. Surrounded by soft foliage and tiny blossoms, the little deer seems to have wandered into a magical woodland clearing where everything is calm and still.

The dreamy palette of soft turquoise, teal, lavender and natural earthy browns creates a peaceful atmosphere, while the delicate flowers and textured surroundings add a touch of enchantment.

The background has been created through many layers, using moulding paste, collage, spray paint and acrylic paint, before being finished with oil paint. These layers create wonderful depth and texture, with fragments of collage subtly appearing amongst the foliage and woodland forms.

I wanted this painting to capture that special feeling of coming across a young deer in the quiet of the woods - a fleeting little moment of connection with nature.

The artwork has been created on a hand-stretched canvas and finished with a protective varnish to help preserve the colours and surface.

The canvas edges are painted for a beautifully finished appearance, and D-rings have been securely fitted to the back, so the painting is ready to hang and enjoy straight away.
