Whispering Wings – Guardian of the Enchanted Wood ..Original Fairy Painting

Somewhere deep within the enchanted wood, where butterflies dance amongst the flowers, a fairy watches quietly over the forest...

Whispering Wings is a very special original mixed-media painting inspired by the magic, beauty and mystery of the natural world.

A beautiful woodland fairy rests amongst lush foliage and delicate flowers, her magnificent wings spreading out behind her. Tiny blossoms and leaves weave through her hair, while a beautiful orange butterfly has come to rest amongst the greenery beside her.

There is a quiet, almost dreamlike quality to her expression. She seems to belong to that magical place between the real world and the world of fairy tales - a guardian of the woodland, surrounded by flowers, butterflies and whispers of nature.

The painting is filled with rich teal, turquoise, moss green and violet tones, with touches of warm orange and shimmering gold bringing little areas of light and magic to the composition.

Created on a hand-stretched canvas, the artwork has been built up through many layers using inks, acrylic paints, oil paints and imitation gold leaf. The layered techniques create depth, texture and subtle variations of colour, with delicate botanical details emerging throughout the painting.

The artwork has been finished with a protective varnish to enhance the colours and help preserve the painting for years to come.

The canvas edges are painted for a beautiful finished appearance, and D-rings have been securely fitted to the back, so this original artwork is ready to hang and enjoy straight away.
